The Science Behind Waistline Trim

Waistline Trim is a diet pill which was originally developed and sold in the UK. It has since made its way to the US but neither in the UK nor the US is there any good information on it. The UK website seems to have discontinued this particular product and the US-hosted website has been under construction. We’ll see what happens after the face-lift, but as of now it appears to be a mildly effective and rather generic product. Of the 7 ingredients we’ve been able to identify in the Waistline Trim formula, only three have been identified in legitimate studies to promote weight loss in some way. These include:
- Caffeine Anhydrous – a common and very safe energy-booster, caffeine is actually quite effective for weight loss and at improving athletic performance.
- Green Tea – rich in antioxidants and great for the immune system, green tea also contains caffeine and as a pair they have been shown as an effective weight loss supplement.
- Chromium Polynicotinate – a trace mineral which is involved in regulating blood sugar levels, some studies suggests that in the right dosage if may reduce hunger and improve metabolism.
Other ingredients include:
- Acetyl-L- Carnitine – often included in energy drinks to supposedly improve athletic performance, there is actually little evidence for this suggested effect. It is naturally produced in the body and most people get plenty of it.
- Maqui Berry – a berry which is found in the forests of Chile, it has become popular recently for supposedly having an antioxidant content even higher than the super-famous Brazilian Acai.
- L-Theanine – also found in green tea, it has been correlated to reduced blood pressure.
- Spirulina – a vitamin-rich blue-green algae extract with no evidence for effectiveness in improving weight loss.
Waistline Trim Side Effects
Generally there isn’t anything to be alarmed about in the Waisline Trim formula, though if you’re not used to caffeine the dose here may or may not be enough to get you a little “jittery.” You should consider not taking it in the afternoon to avoid sleeplessness later in the evening.
Waistline Trim Policies
At this point there does not appear to be any sort of satisfaction guarantee or return policy with Waistline Trim. It’s never a good sign for a company to be unclear about their return policy.
Waistline Trim Lowest Price
The most recent pricing we were able to see on Waistline Trim was over $50, which by any standard is a high price for a diet pill, let alone one that doesn’t disclose its ingredient concentrations and has no apparent return policy.
Does Waistline Trim Work?
Based on the ingredients alone, there definitely does seem to be real weight loss potential in Waistline Trim, but certainly no more than a generic caffeine/green tea blend. The main effect you are likely to see is an increased basal metabolic rate from the caffeine and perhaps some help controlling cravings with chromium, but this is assuming that the dosage is right. In any case, there is no call for a price this high. Waistline Trim may trim your waistline a bit, but only if you’re already working on a diet and exercise program.
