The Science Behind TurboSlim ChronoActiv

TurboSlim ChronoActiv, a discontinued product which was originally made and marketed by the French company Forte Pharma, appears to have had good reason to be discontinued.  Even so, TurboSlim ChronoActiv is now sold in the US exclusively through Rite Aid stores. There isn’t much evidence that it is unsafe, but it also seems to be lacking in much evidence that it can effectively help you lose weight.

The official website only mentions that TurboSlim contains guarana, mate, cola and ash leaf as well as a few basic vitamins.  This basically just tells us that it contains a significant amount of caffeine.  To give you an idea of what else you could look forward to in this product, the original French formula is two-parts for day and night:

  • TurboSlim Day:  Citrus Bioflavonoids, Guarana Extract, Red Seaweed Extract, Papain, Bromelain, Vitamin C, Vitamin B3, Zinc
  • TurboSlim Night: Guarana Extract, Senna, Chitosan, Linoleic Acid, Melissa extract, Vitamin E, Vitamins B1 and 2, Zinc, Chromium Picolinate

While both formulas contain a number of great vitamins and omega fatty acids, the only ingredients which seem to apply directly to weight loss are guarana and chromium.  Red seaweed extract is known to contain a compound which can reduce the amount of carbohydrates your body absorbs from your diet, but it isn’t specifically designated here so we are skeptical. In any case, the main weight loss effects you might experience are largely due to caffeine (guarana) and blood sugar regulation (chromium).  The other herbs, like melissa (lemon balm), papain and bromelain, are traditionally used for anti-inflammatory or anti-septic effect, not for weight loss.

TurboSlim ChronoActiv Side Effects

The TurboSlim ChronoActiv formula contains caffeine and may cause some restlessness for those sensitive to stimulants.  The night formula contains a laxative (senna leaf), which may cause intestinal discomfort and diarrhea.

TurboSlim ChronoActiv Policies

Though you can usually return any unopened product at Rite Aid for a full refund, there is no “satisfaction guarantee” for TurboSlim ChronoActiv.

TurboSlim ChronoActiv Lowest Price

The official retail price from Rite Aid is not listed officially online, but the original was priced at around $22 to give you a gauge.

Does TurboSlim ChronoActiv Work?

With ingredients like guarana, cola, and mate, there is a good chance that you will get at least some benefit from TurboSlim ChronoActiv in terms of increased metabolism.  Each of these contains caffeine and so this should give you an energy boost and naturally reduce your appetite.  However, we aren’t given any information about the concentrations of these or any of the other ingredients.  It may not be a terrible product, but given that the original French formula was discontinued by the company, it is doubtful that TurboSlim ChronoActiv will be work well enough to make it worth it.
