The Science Behind MangoZyte

The official website for MangoZyte offers very little information about their formula, which is a little concerning.  The company mentions that the product is based primarily on acacia rigidula extract but also contains a handful of other ingredients.  Oddly enough, none of the ingredients are mango. Strange for a product with freshly-cut mangoes pictured on the bottle.

The other ingredients include:

  • Methylsynephrine
  • Phenylethylamine HCL
  • Cassia Nomame Extract
  • Theobromine
  • Yohimbe
  • ECGC

As for acacia rigidula, which is supposedly the whole basis for the product, there are claims that it aids in weight loss by stimulating beta-receptors to increase metabolism.  There also claims that it reduces appetite and lowers cholesterol.  However, none of these claims have been fully substantiated.  The other ingredients fare a little better in terms of real results, most notably synephrine, which is a stimulant that acts similar to ephedra but without the same side effects for which ephedra was banned.  The company claims that the product boosts your energy but with “a “clean” non-jittery sensation. It is hard to describe but it makes you “feel good” – a nice warm pleasant feeling.”

Aside from being generally non-scientific about their product description, there isn’t really a way of knowing whether this formula will be effective because the ingredient concentrations are not listed.

MangoZyte Side Effects

Despite the company’s claims of being side-effect free, if you are sensitive to stimulants you should use caution when taking this product as the concentration may be high enough to cause some restlessness or irritation if taken later in the day.

MangoZyte Policies

The MangoZyte website makes no explicit mention of a return policy and the terms and conditions page is not available. Big red flag.

MangoZyte Lowest Price

At $40, this is perhaps a little above average for a weight loss product and given it doesn’t disclose its actual ingredient concentrations, its probably over-priced.

Does MangoZyte Work?

It is looking pretty doubtful.  The ingredients here, even if they were given in the right dosage (for which there is no guarantee here), wouldn’t necessarily give you the “extreme energy” that the company promises.  They may boost your metabolism and there are some great antioxidants here but by no means does MangoZyte have all the signs of an effective diet pill.
