It’s ingredient basis is actually pretty commonly used – glucomannan. What separates standard glucomannan from this supplement is the patented refining process that removes any enzymes in it that might allow its breakdown in the body. It is still unclear that this formula works significantly better than standard glucomannan, but it may.

As for the claimed benefits, there is some evidence to confirm that as the fiber soaks up water and swells in your stomach this can promote satiety to reduce cravings. The effect of decreasing the amount of dietary fat that you digest by soaking up bile is less proven, but certainly possible given the nature of this kind of fiber.

It should be taken with plenty of water in order to avoid choking as the product may stick and swell in the throat. It isn’t clear that this extra refining makes it much more effective to be worth $25 per bottle, but given the reliability and general safety of this kind of weight loss product, it isn’t too bad of a value.

LuraLean Caps are the kind of product you might look for if you’re looking to reduce some of your calorie intake and you have trouble controlling your cravings. It is not a fat burner and will do nothing to change your metabolism, so you’ll want to take that into consideration. The price is a little high for just a fiber supplement, but it is one of the more reliable forms. Good product, but not too dynamic.
