The Science Behind Green Tea Fat Metabolizer

Green tea is one of the core ingredients in so many diet products, it’s almost a chore to rehash what benefits you can gain from using it. It is probably best known for its content of antioxidants but this is not actually what makes it such a great weight loss ingredient – it’s the caffeine. However, this product contains the caffeinated green tea…plus something extra. It’s affordable, but you’ll want to check this out before deciding whether to afford it.
The main reason this product calls itself a “metabolizer” is that it contains stimulants that increase your basal metabolic rate…which leads to more calories burned and ultimately a little less fat. Here’s the breakdown:
- Green Tea Extract – 400 mg – not all green tea extracts are created equal, but in any case this is a fairly small dose for a product with “green tea” in its name.
- Fat Metabolizer Blend – 300 mg – Caffeine (100 mg), Advantra Z bitter orange extract (30% synephrine).
- Bioperine Complex – 6 mg
Now, it’s difficult to tell exactly what the company means, but this appears to have more stimulants than most people should be comfortable with. Given that green tea extract usually contains a good amount off caffeine and that you’ve got 100 mg more of straight caffeine, it is concerning that there is an additional 60 mg of synephrine. This should definitely get you “up”, but maybe a little too “up”.
Green Tea Fat Metabolizer Side Effects
Given the apparently strong stimlant concentrations, many may experience anxiety or nausea, rapid heart beat, and/or elevated blood pressure. The company claims the formula is completely safe, but use caution if you are at all sensitive to stimulants.
Green Tea Fat Metabolizer Policies
Irwin Naturals sells its products primarily through distributors, so whether or not there is a satisfaction guarantee will depend on the particular distributor. Generally, you’ll pay more if there is a guarantee.
Green Tea Fat Metabolizer Lowest Price
As the most basic of the three tea-based diet products from Irwin Naturals, this is also the cheapest. You can buy this product for about $11 in some places, which is more expensive perhaps than a product with only green tea but reasonable for one which also contains synephrine. However, we’re still baffled as to why the green tea concentration is this low.
Does Green Tea Fat Metabolizer Work?
If you’re sure you can handle a hefty dose of stimulants and just want to try another green tea product, this might be worth it for you because it’s so cheap. We’re still not impressed about the weak green tea concentration but you can’t expect too much for the money.
