What is Hydroxycut?
Hydroxycut is a famous (sometimes for the wrong reasons) weight loss company. They made their brand name back in the days of Ephedra. Ephedra was an effective yet dangerous weight loss aid that was banned by the Food and Drug Administration. Since then, Hydroxycut has struggled to produce quality products. There are still some Hydroxycut fans out there, but they are waning. Among current products include:
- Hydroxycut Hardcore X
- Hydroxyuct Advanced
- Hydroxycut Max Advanced
Because of the recent Hydroxycut recall, there may be additional Hydroxycut products out there but steer clear. You would never think about eating recalled lettuce or eggs. Weight loss products are no different. The potential dangers are not worth the potential benefits. Let’s take a closer look at the different products in Hydroxycut. More comprehensive in-depth reviews are available on this website. Just type the Hydroxycut product into the search bar.
Hydroxycut Hardcore X
Hydroxycut Hardcore X is your standard caffeine-full diet pill. Hardcore X boasts of a primary ingredient that helps separate Hydroxycut Hardcore X from the others, but it appears this is just caffeine. Caffeine is a great weight loss ingredient WHEN included at the right dosage AND combined with other effective weight loss ingredients. Unfortunately, Hydroxycut Hardcore X does not meet either criteria. There are 300 milligrams of caffeine in Hydroxycut Hardcore X. For the average person that is at least 50 milligrams too much. Can anybody say the jitters? Worse, there are few other proven ingredients in Hydroxycut Hardcore X.
Hydroxycut Advanced
Although Hydroxycut Advanced has a better formula than past Hydroxycut products. Thankfully Advanced contains less caffeine than Hardcore X (only 150 milligrams) but it suffers from the similar struggles. Besides caffeine, there isn’t anything worth writing home about in Hydroxycut Advanced. Advanced can be purchased online for around $40. We were unable to find any money back guarantees.
Hydroxycut Max Advanced
Hydroxycut Max Advanced is a combination of the first two. There are 200 milligrams of caffeine in Max Advanced. There are more ingredients that contain potential health benefits but the product is still lacking in quality weight loss ingredients.
What You Should Know About Hydroxycut
Hydroxycut has gotten in trouble with the law a few times:
In 2003, Hydroxycut was sued by the Missouri Attorney General Nixon, among his beef were false advertising and potential dangerous effects of Hydroxycut. According to him:
“The product is not “clinically proven” to be a “fat-burner,” as MuscleTech claims. MuscleTech’s own study showed that Hydroxycut has no efficacy as compared to placebo with the possible exception of an appetite-suppressing effect. Moreover, the serious adverse health risks of Hydroxycut with ephedra – including death – were not adequately described or disclosed in marketing and labelling of the product.”
In 2009, Hydroxycut was in the news once again. The FDA warned consumers to stay away from Hydroxycut products because of potential dangerous health effects. Hydroxycut later recalled all of their products.
Hydroxycut Conclusion
If you love caffeine, you might like Hydroxycut products. Otherwise, keep looking. There are much better weight loss products out there.
