Burn Xtreme is a relatively new diet pill that attempts to burn fat, increase energy, and suppress appetite all in one pill a day. To put sirt1 simply, it is a gene in the body that prevents the formation of fat tissue. It also performs many other functions, but we won’t worry about those because they don’t apply directly to diet pills and fat loss. The sirt1 gene is known to be activated on a reduced calorie diet (i.e. if you eat less, then your body will use activate sirt1 to prevent you from storing fat, so you can burn fat for energy). That actually makes a lot of sense, so how will Burn Xtreme activate the sirt1 gene?
Well, they use an ingredient named Resveratrol. Burn Extreme cites some studies that were done attempting to prove that Resveratrol will cause the body to mimic a response similar to when you are fasting. When you fast, your sirt1 gene is activated, and if Resveratrol mimics your body’s response to fasting, then it will also activate the sirt1 gene. Sounds great, and the studies that Burn Xtreme cites actually state that Resveratrol accomplishes activated the sirt1 gene.
So far this sounds pretty good, but one important thing to consider is that the study hasn’t been published in print yet, calling it into question, and I wasn’t able to find detail as to how much Resveratrol is needed. Therefore we still can’t conclude that the proper dosage is in Burn Xtreme.

Our discussion on Resveratrol above discussed the matter of proper dosages, and that is how we will determine the effectiveness of Burn Xtreme. Burn Xtreme uses a proprietary blend of ingredients totaling 326 mg. It contains caffeine (which has to be used with at least 200 mg to be effective), Irvingia gabonensis (has to be used at 150 mg to be effective), Resveratol, and a few other ingredients. Now I’m not a math whiz, but a red flag goes up in my brain when I see these numbers.
What is the point of making a product with the right ingredients, but not the right amounts? Let me tell you why: so you can advertise that you’re using the right stuff and trick people into spending money on your product! Burn Xtreme is an overpriced scam that talks the talk but will not help you lose weight.
